I’ve been on a lookout for flared pants for a while now.. finally got my hands on ones I really like, especially for the summer. I’ve always loved flared-pants regardless of them being “in” or not, but it looks like they’re back in lol I think they’re so much fun and you can make play around for different looks for the summer.

Here are 6 ways to help you get flared:

1. Wear open-toe shoes— I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like closed-toe shoes with flares make you look shorter, I’d go for either sandals or open toe shoes

2. Dress it down— I paired my pants with a tee from Zara (bought a while back) to dress it down and give it a day look. This kinda look is perfect for running errands or grabbing lunch with friends. You can also easily change it to a night look, which brings us to the next point…

3. Dress it up— Change your tee for a solid V-neck white/nude and add a blazer for work/meetings or your night out

4. Add heels— Adding heels is the safe choice with flared pants. Open-toe heels or closed toe (depending on if you want to look short lol,) will make the pants look way nicer and I feel like it brings out the entire outfit more

5. Buy a size smaller— A lot of women stay away from flare pants because of the way they look on… It seems like it adds 10 pounds to our legs lol what I found was helpful is always buying a size smaller than you normally wear. Sometimes I even go 2 sizes down depending on the make and the quality of the pants

6. Buy a steamer— lol seriously these pants are a pain in the butt to Iron.. It took me over an hour to lay it on my bed & iron it. Don’t do what I did, use a steamer for a quickie

PS. If you live near a Mango Outlet, grab the ones I am wearing, I didn’t see it online but they have several other ones… bought mine recently from the store for 10 euros!! #winning

PPS. I finally had a chance to stop by Room Mate Oscar Hotel in Barrio de Chueca. I have been searching for nice rooftops in MAD for the summer and la terraza de oscar is definitely a winner! It’s on the top floor of the hotel, obviously lol. If you’re visiting MAD or live here or you’re an expat in desperate need of a pool like me, you need to stop by. The view of the city is so beautiful on each side of the terrace.. all white interior, pool in the middle, good music and super friendly staff. I seriously can hang up there all day.
